Bicycle and Greenway Planning for Communities
This course will cover the basic concepts of bicycle and pedestrian facilities design, including sidewalks, bike lanes and greenbelt bike paths. Discussions will also include the politics and policies of planning for active communities, as well as funding sources and how to get projects funded.
Climate Change and Local Planning Strategies
Learn how to assess your jurisdiction's contribution to global climate change and develop practical means to reduce that contribution through land use plans in this one-day course. A number of local programs currently underway in California and other states will be highlighted.
